Zine: Dirty Machine

ABOUT:

I didn’t expect how excited people would get over an offer to write them dirty poems in exchange for three (3) random words on Twitter, and yet here we are.

Some might find delicious irony in the fact that this project began in the holy month of Ramadan.

Hopefully you will enjoy reading this collection as much as I have enjoyed writing and compiling these short (and hopefully) salacious prose.

VERSIONS

I - PHYSICAL ZINE

This project started off as a physical zine, of which I limited myself to printing only 50 copies. The zines were sold out within 2 weeks (yeay!) with almost 60% of the sales boosted by requests for a personalized commissioned poem.

II - FLIPBOOK ZINE

I created this version in order to challenge myself to learn something new, plus I've always loved the page turning aesthetic! And if you're into that as well, then I'm glad to say that my personal challenge (with the help of Riz, my partner who actually studied programming years ago) was a success! However...

III - PDF ZINE

As much as Riz and I read about making Flipbooks more accessible for the screen reader, we still couldn't make it happen. And so, I decided to offer the PDF version which hopefully can be read out loud in any software of your choice. It worked in Adobe Reader for me. You have the right to print and share (and sell if you keep all pages intact and unaltered) for this version.
